WOC Long final
Looks pretty green in the woods - lots of track running seems to be the order of the day.

let's hope Scott has his trail shoes on
Helen going well, but Kim Geypen might be hoping for a GPS malfunction before it gets any worse...

Helen in the lead at first radio so far, good stuff.
Not sure I have time to watch the live stream today so might just get it on Saturday for the relay. Anyone watching it? Any good? Would rather still be there than at work! boo

Live stream is interesting - lots of route comparisons to keep the interest up. Kim Geypen has featured regularly.
Surprised there is nothing to split groups up.

Yes, me too, wonder if it will have any bearing on the results

Re: WOC Long final
That looks like a southern England forest - no problems for Helen and Sarah with that.

A few GPS delays or blind spots.
Helen missed 8 and Sarah (on 5 -6) appears to have mistaken the junction due east of where '12' is displayed and took the earlier one to the north-east.

The little brown coloured hoop thing about 30cm high, 10cm wide? (I don't have tv coverage today so can't tell for sure what you mean)
If it is that they are the radio arials and are connected to a massive radio at the base of the control (they're using radio rather than gsm for transmitting data as it is much quicker, the tv production needs data as fast as possible)

Yes - there is a double one visible in the run-through area. What start gate system is being used - SportIdent? What is finish back up? How about mobile reception? I am sure you are taking copious notes!

Interlopers' Kalvis takes the early lead. Training in the UK is obviously the route to success (especially if you're Latvian
).

I took lots of notes and many many pictures. I'm sure nopesport isn't the best medium for getting it to you though...
