Help!!!
Can anyone tell me of any events around the Northumberland region, I’ve found some walking ones and one called the Cheviot challenge but looking at it it doesn’t seem particularly hard navigate around, does anyone know of a specific orienteering one’s in the area?
Thanks

Re: Events Calendar?
Newcastle & Tyneside Orienteers (NATO) are the club for the Northumberland Area. Our fixtures are on http://www.newcastleorienteering.org.uk - we also have a number of permanent courses around.
Next event is the first of our Summer League on the evening of 25th July in Exhibition Park after that we have an event at Blyth Valley (aka East Cramlington Local Nature Reserve) on the 29th July -which will be good simply because I'm the planner!
pm me if I can help more

Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

There's also Northern Navigators, although their races are also on the NATO fixtures list. And then there are the clubs the other side of the Scottish border, depending on exactly how far north you are.
This is a generally useful tool for locating nearby races.

Re: Events Calendar?
NN don't have any events scheduled until September and all their events for the remainder of the year are in County Durham ( apart possibly from Nenthead mines which certainly isn't in Northumberland). Roxburgh Reivers only have the Compassport cup final on the BOF list (though they may well have some activities but we usually list them as well)

A reminder that the CompassSport Cup on 30 September will incorporate an open event for non-CSC runners with courses from String and White up to Brown. We're also including a TD5 4km contour-only course for a bit of fun / challenge for those of you with energy left after your normal run. It'll be good because I'm the co-planner
