Curious to read on the Bulletin :

Neuchatel and La-Chaux-de-Fonds have hosted WMOC and World Cup events in the last 2 years.....

It is far less well known in Suisse Romande than in the other parts, but you'd hardly say it was unknown. The current 2012 CH world champs team has (by my calculations) 2 from the French-speaking part (Marc and Baptiste) and the rest are from the German (and none from Romansch or Italian).

Looks like the Swiss advertising guys know about orienteering:

Agreed - anyone in IT knows you should volume test new software as well as functionality test...

There seem to be some problems with the software for this year's WOC - at least the publicly facing element.

At WMOC they insisted on using their own software until it failed spectacularly on the first day. Are they repeating that mistake?

The Swiss can certainly orienteer, but WMOC in the Jura was in many organisational ways the worst WMOC of the century.

From the arena I've not been too impressed IT wise. The TV production at the final yesterday was good but other than it's no more than average
