I would like to propose a number of awards for items which in my humble opinion provided some of the best forum discussions of the year.
The Mariah Carey Award - jointly presented to Freefall/Mharky for their contribution to the development of Elite orienteering
The Follyfoot Award - a special category, to those who tried their best to disrupt normal orienteering activities. Only one winner, Follyfoot himself
The Bogtrotters Award - to the Scottish 6 Day Company who provided entertaining marsh and ditch crossing over Lochnell and Shenavallie and just when we thought it couldn't get any wetter gave us the option of wading through smelly mud on the estuary of An Sailean
The Gatecrashers Award - numerous discussions on when is a fence crossable/uncrossable in both a rural and urban context

Thread Which Actually Changed Something - AngryHaggis for "Students treated as adults for levy?", which led directly to a BOF AGM motion.

Special Lifetime Achievement Award - "Results and Rankings", which finally seems to have retired after 500+ posts.
