Croeso 2012
I can't find a "contact us" link on the Croeso website, so I hope someone here may be able to answer a query. I'm considering staying in one of the university flats. Is there undercover and relatively secure bicycle storage available? Thanks

Re: Croeso 2012
Unfortunately, the Croeso organisers have had to pull out of the venue selected for Day 1, the previously unused Carn Owen, due to car parking issues.
Fortunately, a ready-made alternative area has now been selected instead - Gwanas, used for Croeso 1996 and 2000, and written up favourably by competitors at the time.

Re: Croeso 2012
I'm looking forward to my first Croeso - accommodation already sorted. I was a bit confused by this on the Fabian4 website though
I've never known an event where you order the little critturs in advance
The system will verify that there are 2 (or zero) ticks per entry form

Just a reminder that the cheapest entry fee period ends on Tuesday January 31st ...
... also that entries are coming in fast at the moment
See http://www.croesomultiday.org.uk for all details.

Re: Croeso 2012
The Croeso organisers have now released a new batch of University accommodation in Aberystwyth. See http://www.croesomultiday.org.uk for more details.
If you book as a group, the daily cost for a single room is less than that of the entry fee
. Is this a record for a UK Multi-day event??

Re: Croeso 2012
Can you confirm for me that if we stay with our 7-year-old in the university accommodation she'll have to have a separate room? If so, we'll have to find somewhere else to stay.

Re: Croeso 2012
We've booked into the local park resorts caravan park on the basis that it seemed fairly clear from the website that there wasnt any family accommodation. Which seems fair enough given its the student accommodation being used.

Adrian,
Try using the Croeso 2012 information service (see http://www.croesomultiday.org.uk/contacts-and-officials for enquiries' email address) who will, I'm sure, be able to answer your question.

CROESO and EVO
With entries coming in thick and fast we wanted to turn our attention to EVO (Extra Value Orienteering), we already have a full social programme for CROESO - see website for details.
But what extras, niceties, stuff that makes a good multi day and excellent multi day etc would you like to see/have at CROESO, no promises but all suggestions welcome. We have booked good weather

Do they still do the Tower to Tower and Raft Race in Aber? Non-student charity fundraising version without the... audience participation?*

Re: Croeso 2012
Beer tent, cracking idea, i remember a few years ago carrying some Czech money with me around my course at the Czech 5 day and as soon as I finished headed straight for my beer tent and some Czech lager, only thing that kept me going in 30+ degree heat.

The beer tent idea is a great one... on a similar theme... how about Alc-O/Beerienteering around Aberystwyth? There's plenty choice!
