S6D Run-in Competition?
Is there going to be one this year or shall I stand the team down?

Young Neville says he's got to find a job and isn't coming to Scotland which is a bit sad - I'm consoling myself with all the food I won't have to buy and cook

I assume this is what is says on the packet - the fastest time from last control to finish? I suppose this must mean that all events have the same last control?
Is this the same as the Golden Boot I have read about elsewhere?

That's right HarryO.
Young Neville (fastest 190m sprinter in Sheffield) would definitely have been the bookies' favourite. With the favourite not running it will will be more interesting - perhaps Mharky as the new favourite.

To work best all courses should have a common last control, and that's usually the case at the S6D. Then you just sum up the run-in times from the 6 days (or devise another way of scoring it).

The Golden Boot is the run-in competition at the CompassSport Cup Final. Young Neville was joint winner last year

As madmike suggests, young Neville is pretty quick over 190m. Unfortunately the race he entered was 200m...

Martin Ward, SYO (Chair) & SPOOK.

for my closed club we use a tour de france sprinters points method. 25 for fastest, 22 for 2nd then, 18, 14 12.......
Winner being one with most points at end of Day 6 - the leader does have a green o top to run in as well.

How about Gross as joint favourite with Mharky? - as long as the run in does not extend further than 60m.
