Harvester 2011

With this year's Harvester Relays under 3 weeks away it's good to see that already it has more teams entered than last year or the year before. The B race has more teams entered than the A race, but in terms of the numbers of people on each class it's about 50/50, so good support for the "Open" class.

No sign of entries from INT or EUOC yet, which would mean the UK Relay League Mens competition is more or less certain to go to ShUOC, unless NOC win and ShUOC are way down the field. Of course ShUOC also still need to enter, but as they're organising club that won't be a problem.

In the absence of EUOC (not yet entered) it looks like a close battle between FVO and SYO for the Womens UK Relay League.

Info is up for Saturday's Middle and Sunday's Urban race, and with 59 teams already on the start-list for the main event it's shaping up to be a cracking weekend!

A little birdie also tells me there may be a new video released in the next few days - MrsH will be pleased!

Could everyone going to the middle distance event on Saturday 16th please pre-enter on Fabian4 (http://www.fabian4.co.uk/default.aspx?EventID=542) to guarantee a map and so the organiser can have an idea of how many to print off.

Online entries close this Sunday (10th) for both the middle distance event at Bowden Housteads and the sprint event at Dore.

I'd also like to echo the sentiment regards the Harvester Urban race, there will be some maps available for EOD, but not an excessive amount!

One of our team will be travelling to the Harvester Relay from Durham. Does anyone coming from that area have a spare seat and if so could they offer a lift. If you PM me with contact details I'll pass them on, as I don't think she's a regular visitor here.
