Who makes the best maps in the UK?
The nopesport mapping award needs to be decided. For the decision we leave it up to the orienteers.

thats bollocks.
there are some maps which are terrible for whatever reason.
there are some mappers that people can connect with and relate to their mapping style better.

Well ive just finished the LAMM 2004 map - (look at the posting time!)
ftping a big file ready for the printer in the morning so thought Id look at the board.
Is this the latest/earliest sober posting ever on Nopesport.
just got a 32 file to ftp up now before dawn
ps Im not that bad at deadlines my dads ill.....

Agree with Brooner...... trebor is talking through a hole in his a***e:) Some maps are really bad & some mappers are consistently poor. Problem is that by far the vast majority of club orienteers wouldn't know a good map from a bad one... they don't have the orienteering skills to notice:)

Sorry, trebor, but here's another one who disagrees with you. I've run on plenty of less than good maps, including those produced by some of those listed. Even Bilbo and PLS, both in the top three in the poll at present, have had their moments.

others may as well be a different area!!

yes but still i tend to make mistakes because i'm crap rather than blame the map i blame myself
