Have spotted recently that Bruce and Ant are trying to raise funds for Cancer Research UK by doing 3 of the toughest endurance challenges in the UK back to back: The Bob Graham, John O'Groats to Lands End on a tandem aiming to get to the start of The Devizes to Westminster Interanational Canoe Race over the Easter weekend.

Another fairly epic endeavour is about to be undertaken by Hilary Bloor (former BOF staff, occasional orienteer and SYO member) who is competing in the Marathon Des Sables that starts on Sunday.

My sister, Vivien and her family and many of my friends lost their homes during the recent earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. I don't normally ask for sponsorship for these events, as l do them for pleasure. But on this occasion l am. Please support me as best you can to help raise money for the British Red Cross/NZ Appeal. They need all the support they can get.
