Great event. Good map, super challenging courses. Glad I changed from going elsewhere

"Elsewhere" was pretty good too, if you mean the BOK 007 weekend ...
... the Middle race on Stockhill was as good a Middle race as you can get in the UK - the terrain would be well up to BOC Middle standard were it to be awarded this status sometime in the future.
... and today's Long races at Stourhead were physical, yes, and scratchy, yes, but were superb examples of true Classic orienteering. Route choices were in abundance, so much so that I saw hardly anyone else in the (high quality) terrain.

Hubby was injured so it would have meant 4 hours driving plus the long walks to and from Assembly. Thinking about the effect on me

Re: WOC2011 (Wellington Orienteering Challenge)
Wellington was certainly a really great event. A great new map, complicated by being half urban and half forest, which I couldn't fault in any way. Really good challenging courses which required high concentration throughout - switching from urban to forest and back a few times certainly kept you on your toes! Also good facilities, start/finish/assembley all really close together, and nice weather to boot. And also good to see full results, splits, RouteGadget and even BOF ranking points all uploaded by late Sunday afternoon.
An all round great event - big well done to Steve and the team.
