See link below. Perhaps a slightly excessive training regime or indeed, an exaggerated article – it will be interesting to read Emily Benham’s response:

I'm not impressed
I think it rather bad form for an elite in one sport to be disparaging about the sport of another elite

Well, at least IOF thinks that GB is an interesting new country at SkiWOC. Apparently there'll be live TV at http://www.skiwoc2011.com when it all starts on 22 March.

I hope the interview answers were 'tongue in cheek' - I'm not sure if it is sensible, let alone possible, to do 50 hours of physical training in a week.
As for Ski O and MTBO, perhaps they complement each other and are an ideal training tool for each discipline. I imagine that one would benefit from having good balance, map memory skills and a fast decision making process. Calmness and control when hurtling downhill at great speed would also be useful (from my limited experience of both sports -

I know the SKI O team are short of map boards and may have to buy/hire at Scandinavian prices. If anyone happens to have one available for loan then please let me know. Thanks.
