To help orienteering section of the forum.
I dint even know this place existed, until 1 hour ago.
http://www.ukpursuits.com is for people who are into loads of differnt pursuits (like me). Its a site where by you can talk about a wide range of interests, in the same place, using excellant forum facilites. You can also upload pictures, to share with others.
I didn't see any sites that catered for multiple interests, so I made one.
Any comments welcome.

ok, so nopesport looks better.......but if it attracts enough people then it should be quite good, seems to have 5 or 6 sports that i do there n dont think, or at least i havent found sites with forums on them already........(couldnt think of a way to put that so that it actually made sense but hey...)
although the orienteering section isnt likely to be used that well.....

This place is more than just colour-schemes and the like. There's a community that's developed, and I don't think people will give that up easily, especially not for a site which isn't specifically dedicated to orienteering. Nopesport is also more than just the forums. The news pages are very useful for keeping track of events around the country and the world.
Or, more succinctly, what Ben said.
p.s. you might find a dictionary "usefull"

I'm really, truely not asking anyone to "give up" anything. I'm asking you to have an orienteering input. If the orienteering input if good at ukpursuits, then it will be seen by people who don't normally think/take part in it. Which can only be good for orienteering. Try me on it and lets see what happens.

I have to agree - all this talk about promoting orienteering to others and we won't put it on a web site for people who are interested in other outdoor pursuits! Not a job someone like BOF could do on their own as it would take a small community of people to do it - maybe the MTBOers could set it up for themselves as they don't have a working forum yet?

The site is free, I make no money back on it, I'm busy as hell in real life at the moment (too much and too boring to talk about). I don't have much time to tell people all about it and i can't spend a fortune on advertising. I have told no runners about it at all to be honest, I was goingto get around to doing that
