Irish Forest sell off

I've had this passed on from a work colleague. Apparently Irish Forests are at similar threat to the English and Welsh.
"The government is moving closer and closer to selling off huge amounts of our public forests that are currently managed by Coillte to private investors. An area greater than 1 million acres of woodland could be sold to companies such as The China Investment Corporation and the Swiss finance company Helevetia Wealth who own the International Forestry Fund and which is chaired by Bertie Ahern."
