Well I was rubbish! Too many hills, not enough hydration and I had my cycling legs on. In compensation there were beautiful views and good company as always (I wonder if my duck has won yet? £1000 would come in nicely!)
A very few (bad) photos are here! http://www.flickr.com/photos/wendles56/sets/72157624293782729/

I was also slowly enjoying the views in the sunshine today but it appears I have a good reason for being slow – your photo 6 shows that I only have half a right leg!! (not looking particularly speedy or dynamic either but that’s normal

OOOoo Wendles I'm glad you've got my co-ordinated socks in
most enjoyable - even if I did loose the plot round the back of the tennis courts - too much watching Wimbers this week I expect - did anyone else try the duck and rhubarb pie from the gala stall? it was sensational

How did we miss that? But we did enjoy the lemon drizzle cake and the raspberry and rose cream cake from the wonderful home made cake stall (also licquorice cake and Chocolate & Beetroot Cake....mmmm).

If you're into liquorice Wendles then perhaps the Liquorice Festival next week might appeal?

Re: Holmfirth Urban Race
Does Mrs H compete at these races Wendles or just sit and pose for photos in her smart kit
Must get some socks like that as I've got the rest of the green set. Shame I don't go to the events really.

Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

Thanks for the photos Wendles - thank heavens I had made sure that I was conforming to Mrs H's urban race dress code
We enjoyed carrot cake and cup cakes.....
Thought that route choice was a bit limited especially compared to Stockport the previous week but did enjoy the views.
