I have just noticed in the BO(F) website fixtures list :
British Night Championships Bentley Wood Sat. 5 Feb. 2011
Nearest Town: Atherstone Venue: Bentley Woods
Club: OD Type: Cross Country Level: National
Compass Sport Cup 1st Round Sun. 6 Feb. 2011
Nearest Town: TBC Venue: TBC
Club: Type: TBC Level: Regional
Does this mean Sunday 6 Feb is the date reserved for all CSC Round 1 matches in all regions ?
If so, its a crazy conflict. Surely it's unreasonable to expect the Scottish, NE, SE, SW, NW etc, rounds to take place the day after a National night event in the middle of the country ?

Re: Fixtures Congestion (reprise)
Sunday 16th Jan has a whole list of CSC events on the BO web site, so just one event on Feb 6th looks a bit odd.

It's the Scottish round, which is often held on a different weekend to the rest of the qualifiers...

Given the problems we had finding somewhere suitable for the Scottish csc early in the year this year I wonder if a later date may be sensible anyway, both for weather and parking (muddy fields) problems.

Gives the Scots a tough choice then - British Night Champs or CSC / CST qualifier. I can't see (m)any doing both .....

I think this might has been picked up on for future years. At least the 2012 date for CSC first rounds is 19th Feb.

Doesn't sound like a tough choice to me. I think even if there wasn't a CSC / CST qualifier in Scotland the day after, very few scots would travel to the BNC in the west mids. It might be the *British* Night Champs, but lets face it, the competition is usually dominated by people who live relative close to where the competition is held each year.
