Congratulations to Dave Harrison who finally managed to break the stranglehold of Pete Huzan to win the orienteers fantasy football league. It was a close faught battle all year but Dave managed to pull away in the last few weeks to win by a comfortable margin over Pete who had to settle for second place.
The race for third was much closer with Dean Field overhauling sons Zach and Jake on the last weekend.
SYO demonstrated their breadth of talents by taking 5 of the top 6 places!

Choice of Captain can be critical, and of course not reminding son's of closing deadlines

Was this a private league? I was in two leagues but was not aware of the nopesport league. I'd guess that Lampard was your captain then. I managed to overhaul Fazza in the last quarter of the season and a lot of it was down to Lampard

It was not a private league, it was posted on NopeSport just before the season started, 26 people joined. Previous years there has been a bit more banter, but it has been running regularly for several years now. Maybe someone can pull up the original link.
No, my Captain was Drogba. Also used Fabregas and Lampard when seemed appropriate.
To get a top 10 you would need to have >2000 pts and to win 2367, a superb score by Dave Harrison (SYO).

Not quite 2000 scored I think it was 1896, enough for 1st in family league and third in the league I got put in.
I'm not quite Karen Bradey
Last year I came second in the league I got put in. I have a principle. No Arsenal players under any circumstance, only M U players who have played for my selected club in the past. This does mean I don't maximise points at times but it means I use a number of players from lesser clubs. Also I'm not obsessive about it but try to look once a week.
