Notingham City Urban Race
This event was listed as a regional event and has not yet been submitted to the BOF results and ranking list. Why?

Perhaps because nobody has yet reminded the organiser of the need to do so?

I have asked our results guru to submit the results to the ranking list and he will do this on his return from the Harvester
Apologies for the delay.

Come on NOC sort it out. This does not reflect good on the club.

... which is because it took too long to submit the results. There has to be a cut-off time, because every ranking event that took place after this event now has to be re-calculated. On this occasion, I think the system has been set by Mike Hamilton to allow this one in, but that's an exception, not the norm.
Points for this event will probably appear after the system re-calculates tonight.

So Mikey this is why I felt it was worth bringing this problem out in the open. There are some sad people, like myself, who choose to travel to regional events knowing they count towards ranking points.

Thanks to some intervention by Mike Hamilton and Michael Napier, the ranking points for this event are now working.
Results and Ranking Points
Note to organisers - please try to have results uploaded within the target 7 days after the event!

Much as I agree that results should be submitted promptly - I always found it annoying that my ranking points changed some time after being posted because of the submission of results from a different event - I can't see the need to recalculate ranking points for other events as a viable excuse for limiting the time period. Calculation of ranking points amounts to something like calculating the standard deviation of competitors' times: my fairly old PC can do that for 1000 numbers effectively instantly, so to redo even 100 large events overnight doesn't sound taxing for any type of computer.
