South Lakes accommodation

Any orienteers travelling to the South Lakes might be interested in some 'cheap' accommodation. The Walkers Hostel in Ulverston has 29 beds available in 5 rooms. It is bunk bedded arrangements, but they are popular with both walkers (Cumbria Way) and triathletes etc.

They can provide food, organise food to come in or you can self cater. The owners have recently taken over the Hostel and are keen to make a go of it. For more info check their website

Ulverston is a good base to visit the Lakes, only 15 miles from Coniston with Duddon Valley and Eskdale just round the corner. I hope some of you will find this info helpful.
