Re: Complete the sequence
No. Orienteers are all mince nowadays: Helen is the only squaddie there?
Rocky's mum could finish higher than any of the guys.[edit - apparently not, well she set a target of 102nd last year]
I presume "entries close" doesn't mean entries to the race - didn't it fill up in 17.5 seconds or somesuch?

Re: Complete the sequence
What happens at 2pm on Saturday?
If anyone is going to do it, I'd put my money on Helen Bridle. Mens side - looking at Ross McL, Grassiemarket or Wattok unless any of the EUOC boys have blagged late entries. None of the aforementioned men, with the greatest respect, have a chance.
Mrs H - sadly my mum's out of the running this year. She'll be back in 2011 no doubt!

I don't mind betting that if Helen is to do it it will be nearer 2:55 than 2.00

Re: Complete the sequence
Helen will do it, with More Fire
re: orienteers being mince* these days, scanned BUSA XC results, hardly any orienteers, wasn't it in Stirling?
with "mince" just meaning not racing running, non derogatory term, presume they were all out training o technique instead
If not Helen then I tip Duncan Grassie or "Elizabeth Adams" if that is Lizzie but she's down as Westies so I'm confused

Most of SEDs were down at the Carlisle Urban race & training in the Lakes. GG, Hector and Coombsy ran decently at BUSA though.
