Bekele is back!!!
The Edinburgh International XC is going to be on BBC 1 & Online tomorrow from 13:00-14:30, or if you're in the area why not pop down to Holyrood park. I assure you, they may look fast on TV but seeing those guys for real is something different.
Murray Strain (INT) and Hector Haines (EUOC) will be representing Scotland's East and University teams respectively in the Inter-Disctrict match as part of the main race.
Murray Strain is a veteran of this race have represented both Scottish Universities and East Scotland on several occasions. For Hector Haines this will be his first taste of what international cross-country is really like. Will he be able to hold Bekele off for 6 laps and prevent being lapped??? On Murray Strain's first attempt in 2005 he crossed the start/finish line to begin his last lap about 5s before Bekele crossed it to win...

Can anyone in the know find out what colour tops they'll be wearing? It might help us spot them

And Moravian's Ben Livesey will be an RAF vest - same as the guy behind Murray Strain on pic above this post. Should be interesting to see who comes out top from the three of them.
- Just heard that Ben won't be able to get there due to conditions down the A9

Didn't you think the commentary was crap? They completely ignored him until he'd been in the lead for ages and then they ignored him some more in favour of the young bloke who came through and won - it was like he was only there to make up the numbers
when are Murray and Hector on?

it looks like there is a lot less snow in Edinburgh than here unless they have beaten the course down before the race.
I think they may be on next.
Chloe always gets good coverage - she must be the most featured girl in the sport (quite understandably)
that's not Hector in the white hat is it?

Have to say the coverage was rubbish - they didn't even interview the winner and seemed only interested in the favourite and wasted time on landscape shots at the end when they could have been showing the rest of the field
