What to do when left with 1 shoe

Despite ferocious opposition I am leaning towards keeping the leftover VJ twister in case of emergency. The sole of the right footed shoe is almost completely detached. The pair have done about 240 miles in terrain so some might say both shoes are ready for the bin, but what do you think? Help me resolve this tricky dilemma!

If you have a mantelpiece then I'd recommend putting the remaining shoe on a plinth, spraypainting it gold and having some sort of monthly competition between you and pyrat to win it.

After early support for the left shoe's continued existence, it's now not looking good. The poll is quite tight so I'll postpone a decision for the time being. Left VJ Twister can dry out on the shoe rack for another day.
I've been inundated with inquires about the insoles, but you can all stop worrying, the insoles from both shoes have already been rescued.
