I know you're not going to say exactly where it is... but will it be "proper" north of Scotland? (i.e. past Inverness)

Re: Highlander Mountain Marathon 2010
The last three years it has been in Strahconon, Torridon then Strathfarrar, so the chances are it will be in another 'proper area' north of the Great Glen.

Hagofs as sponsors..... maybe, just maybe, tempting enough to enter - but not elite!

If you sign up for the handsonevents news letter. There are some clues from our controller Alec Keith about the event in 2010.

Re: Highlander Mountain Marathon 2010
About 125 teams ran at the Highlander MM last weekend - nicely up on last year - but plenty of space for more - it would be nice to have 200 starting teams as the optimum I reckon.
The weather was something that will be remembered - cloudless and hot, 20degC. But what should be remembered was the excellent course planning and (nearly) perfect event execution ("AR" ...). The benign conditions led to some very fast winning times, but don't be deluded by the speed of the "hares", this was a tough event as can be seen by looking at the median times. Which I hope we will be able to soon - where are the results posted, guys? And will there be a Routegadget?
P.S. Thank the caterers (Red Poppy) for us - the food hit the spot.

The results are here. Younger daughter was out a long time on the A course I note - will be interesting to find out why?

I did contact the organisers about a year ago and suggest that RouteGadget might be an enhancement for the event (I've been providing it for the OMM and LAMM for a few years now), but I never got an answer.
