That fix seems to have worked for me at least.
Thanks

Yes, works for me as well.
Thanks for fixing so quickly.
I realise that this is an on-going work of art .......
does the +3 button work?

Re: Routegadget 2.0: Sneak preview
Just tried the new Routegadget - excellent piece of work well done
Its probably already mentioned in this thread but I had difficulty drawing the route because I kept dragging slightly instead of clicking. You need to allow a little movement of the mouse between down and up in a 'click' to accommodate fast drawing or those of us with unsteady hands!

Re: Routegadget 2.0: Sneak preview
Version 0.5.0 was released on 15 February 2014 and has been installed on all routegadget.co.uk sites. The main changes are:
- Enhanced GPS file adjustment. You can now add intermediate points to your route and adjust them.
- Improved touch interface that should support drag and pinch-zoom on most devices.
- Configuration menu (cog icon in top right). You can set course overprint and route line widths and set map intensity.
- Replay control panel is now only displayed when you are on the results tab.
- Several other minor improvements based on user feedback.

Upload my first GPS route on RG2. Once I had relearned how the fine tune (a couple of abortive attempts) the new version worked well. I needed the ability to add intermediate points as the initial course was fine at the start and finish but about 10% inside the actual controls elsewhere. I'm currently using Firefox 27 so not sure if this is to do with the browser or not.

Re: Routegadget 2.0: Sneak preview
We made RG2 the main Routegadget link for Broxbourne, with an additional link to the "old version". The only feedback has been questions about how to do particular things, such as view courses input etc - this should be resolved with increased familiarity perhaps.

And I finally managed to upload my GPS track. I had 2 abortive attempts at first where I tried to add an intermediate point, but when dragged the line went haywire. I expect I will get used to it.
Thanks

Re: Routegadget 2.0: Sneak preview
Uploaded my GPS track to RG2 for the first time last evening. Much easier than on the original RG as the track lands in approx. the correct place (Firefox, but also works in IE11). Also found that some quite minor nudges, with key points locked down, sent the track haywire, & the only way around it was to start again, though that wasn't really a problem. Was dismayed, however, to see the saved track peppered with "3 secs". Seems to be the same with other people's tracks, just not as many! Assume this must be being calculated from the GPS times? OK, I'm not as experienced as some, & still have micro pauses to check detail on map/align compass/decide where to cross a ditch or stream - but is the track meant to display like this? Can't see any way to toggle it off at the moment.

This is based on whether the recorded point from the GPS has moved or not. It will be influenced by how you configure your watch (record every second or longer, only record after moving a certain distance, smooth the track...). I agree it is a bit overpowering, so I'll add an option to turn on the +3 display for GPS routes (so default to off, which is essentially what rg1 does).
People seem to have worked out how the new adjustment features work with less of a problem than I expected. The one thing I was expecting was demand for an "undo" button so you can at least undo the last adjustment. I'll probably add that anyway. The trick is to adjust using handles as far from the two locked points as possible.

I have a Garmin FR210 which has smart recording with no user options - where I was running it was OK, but where I was moving more slowly through close-growing spindly trees (Broxbourne) I couldn't see the trace on the map for the overprinting! If you can turn this off it will be good - as will an "Undo" button. Thanks, Simon

I've just used RG2 for route drawing for the first time - very smooth and efficient, thanks for the work!

An improvement for those of us with small screens, which would also help those on tablet/mobile devices, would be the ability to hide/minimise the Events(/Course/etc.) box and the replay function box.
Thanks Simon a great improvement over the original. Its great that RG works on a tablet but definitely need to hide (swipe?) those other screens out of the way. Could the font for the name labels be reduced a bit by default or be user customisable? I have not yet tried a GPS upload but the original RG process was rather messy and tedious, particularly when compared to Quickroute, where you can just drag the track around, but maybe that is not possible via web.
