Well done the Swiss - who were a cut above the rest.
Not sure how many high profile mixed sprint relays there have been but I some food for thought there for future planners/organisers.
1. EWT? The whole point of this is to appeal to tv - a 2min winning margin hardly exciting.
2. Ditto multiple DQ with no info as to why (in English at least - maybe they did in Spanish)
3. Not sure we should be holding this up as a model for how to do the commentary/video. The GPS made long disappearances from the screen and the commentary team seemed not to know much more than the viewer (cf Cat losing 2 min lead??)
As I say - food for thought

Just nerves I think. A sprint relay is fun to watch but cruel to run!

Re: World Games in Colombia
Lots of disqualifications - seems too many, but this might be the reality of sprint relay; massive pressure etc. But I would just want to check to make sure there has not been some malfunction that has led to so many disqualifications.
If disqualifications are correct then valuable experience for next year which will be a lot more pressured as it will have the crowds and colour of Venice. Great to see a team like Austria winning a medal. It will happen for GB.

Yes, I'm surprised how many top teams got DSQ. The gaffling didn't look that close or confusing.

Re: World Games in Colombia
Could we stop griping at each other about organising WOC2015 please? It's a public forum and it's not very becoming.
Other half was watching and he also said that the number of DQs makes the whole thing look ridiculous. It would be very good to know why - as someone else said, gaffles didn't look that close.

I'd be quite happy to plan the first British Mixed Sprint Relay Champs!

According to the tracking, Norway and Cz both mp'd #5, Norway on leg 2 (I think) and Cz on leg 4.

Colombia have yet to finish - while I was checking the DQs I noticed that the Colombia runner crossed the river for some reason to yesterday's assembly building - toilet break? sending a postcard?

Colombia still going - might make it back in time for the prizegiving. So no significant home advantage there then...
