Doesn't make it any less of a jarring word, although the meaning isn't too hard to work out. 'Directed' would have been a better choice I think.

Ah, yes, everyone else is talking about the Community O article, which is riddled with "Sport England speak" (probably because it's a precis of the Sport England funding submission), rather than the UKOL article which mentions FCC replacement.

OK, since we're way off FCC topic anyway, here goes:

Activator = a person who gets a new community-o project started
Signposted = pointed towards something else they might like
Delivery mechanisms = ways events/activities are held
Creating an environment where participants are encouraged to provide feedback = having friendly people to talk to
Self-sustaining model = the activities cover their costs
Good "customer experience" = they had fun

I see LOC are advertising their April w/e as including the final of the junior champions cup - with the best 4 results from 7 heats to count. Anyone know any more, or is there any info anywhere about the 7 heats?
