Sue that all the medical tents, workforce welfare rooms, concession stands, even 3 story blocks control rooms etc will be taken down. Can't see the point of removing wide bridges or replacing with narrow ones, so hope they don't do that.

Even now, visitors are climbing over rope barriers and walking into meadow flower beds to get nice photos, trampling on plants on way.

Most of the bridges are built as pairs, with the temporary structure beside the permanent one, sometimes with a tiny (but visible) gap between, so it should be quite easy for them to be removed while retaining the permanent ones. The combined bridges are vastly oversized for post-games use, and slender bridges will make the place feel more park-like and inviting.

Thanks for explanation and photo, Angry Haggis - haven't spent much time outdoors, let alone under bridges, partly because it's dark when I leave my shifts, but will make a point of looking on Friday, when I'm back of duty.

Gross, would loved to have commented to flower-trampling visitors if I'd seen them entering beds, but not much point once damage is done and more visitors are standing on already crushed plants, plus not really within my medical remit and not sure what EVS staff had been briefed to say / do.

It looks fantastic from the air. Cant make London this year, but it looks ripe for a supporting sprint race to London city race 2013!

Some parts of the park will reopen to the public in 2013, but the full area isn't due to reopen until 2014... and it will look quite different I suspect as they're remove a lot of the widened bridges and a lot of the temporary buildings.
