It's much more likely that many posters can't find the Discussion area in the first place! If, like me, they'd saved the old URL as a Favorite (sic), they'll find that, like me, the old URL no longer works. See my post on the last page.

This, coupled with the fact that the link from Nopesport Forums page similarly doesn't work means that it's a minor miracle that anyone can find the Discussions area at all! How do the rest of you do it? Is this a browser thing (I'm using IE9)? Am I alone in experiencing "404 problems" with the published URL?

works for me in Safari, Chrome and Firefox on my Mac, and IE9 in Windows 7

I think the problem is that DirectoryIndex for forum.nopesport.com on the new Apache installation is set to the default index.html, which doesn't exist. Hence the 404 error when trying to load http://forum.nopesport.com/, which is where the link from the main Nopesport homepage currently points. It should be simple to change DirectoryIndex to point to index.php instead.

Link from top banner in NOPE homepage works OK for me in Firefox 3.6.23 on Windows 7.

I'm sorry to pipe in like the complete computer illiterate i am but is it not just a case of typing http://www.nopesport.com and then clicking "Forum" then "Discussion"? Or am i missing the point.

You can even save it as a favourite if you dont have time to follow the above steps

Or even have a link on your personal home page set up to take you to http://forum.nopesport.com/. That's how I have always got to the site and it still works for me.

I believe Scott is correct on this, many people who are just clicking on the http://www.nopesport.com/ Forum option will be getting a page telling them the link is broken. IE9 does this on my computer.

Or change the Nopesport Forum option to point to index.php

I imagine there are many people who think that the forum is still in the progress of being upgraded?

nerd chat: /index.html issue was related to the old upgrade in progress url. Updated server config.. also feeds should be back.
