Re: WOC Long Final
Been trying to follow the action intermittently from work but the intermittent nature of the both the tracking and the radio controls is defeating me. Any updates on Nopesport appreciated.

All 3 GB ladies finished (sounds like that is an achievement in itself), but Ali Crocker is down as DSQ.

Re: WOC Long Final
the TV editing is pretty shoddy. Cutting to pictures of gliders when something important is happening, not enough use of the GPS imo (not even one epic miss set to the Benny Hill theme tune a la Zinca last year!), didn't even see Tero going through spectator as they were looking at the 12th place woman downloading - exciting! At least we got Hubmann finishing.
Scenery shots are nice, but only when there's nothing happening. Hope the GB bid has got some good ideas for TV streams!
looks like the planners were very optimistic with the 94/75min winning times!

I've not seen any of the tech stuff from the bid, but with the amount of money in it woc this year is pretty lacking. I'm hoping that the 2015 bid would have taken into account gps/gsm signal etc in the pre-planning process (which is already done) rather than later on, which I'd hazard a guess at what the french did given how unbelievably poor this coverage is.

Re: WOC Long Final
The wierd thing is that GPS tracking worked really well UNTIL they started showing replays on the screen. Regularly they are showing live GPS on the screen whilst the standard trac-trac is not functioning

Right now is a good example. No updates on the standard for ages, yet they are showing Lundanes live on the screen - It looks to me as though he may be losing a medal.

We haven't heard of Guieorgiou's position for ages - Assuming he's gone clear he should be well in the lead.

Thierry about to come into the final radio control. Looking like at least a 3min lead over Ikonen.

Assuming no pispunch Guieorgiou is going to win by a big margin.

AliC missed the punch at the water point. She'll be back!
Fantastic race by Thierry. Also not impressed by the coverage. Also great to see Pasi back on top.

The French men were 1st, 3rd and 7th; the Swiss men 4th, 5th and 8th. Should be an interesting relay
