Hope it's not too sad of me to rewatch some of these races. I've been thrilled several times this season by British orienteers popping up on my screen in leading positions, and by hearing commentators talking about them with suitable respect. Whatever criticisms may be levelled at BOF and our other O organisations, they (and the orienteers and their other supporters) are clearly doing something right...

And then there's Mharky, who unfortunately retired injured, but managed to clock 81km/h as he "ran" off the map in the direction of the GBR team accomodation (I'm sure it wasn't him driving )

I thought the Azer chap had a reasonably good grasp of how to relocate, unlike the guys in the Middle Distance.

My feeling watching their mistakes was "there but the grace of god go I". Roll on Culbin and the green bits of RoseIsle.
