Re: ORingen Accommodation
At the first o ringen I went to 1978? there was an English translation of all the bits such as creche, church services, but not a word of English on anything regarding the competition inclding a very important addendum on the way to the starts on day one.

Bet that doesn't work easily:)
Tour busses are required to wait outside the airport until called forward as there isn't enough space for buses to wait:)

That may be true but at least the respective positions are exceedingly well marked - B23 and all the others are very easy to find.

Re: ORingen Accommodation
the latest information regarding accommodation has now been translated and says if you haven't heard let them know now - they think they have only got a 300 bed short fall now and cabins are coming back on the market (people dropping out?). there has obviously been some very concerted efforts going on in the last month since the Swedish Federation got involved. i am entirely happy with our arrangements now.
i've had another e-mail from Mark Baljeu saying
"The bus will stop at Tandådalen and during the 4 hour trip the staff will
try to find out how you can get to your exact accommodation. They will also
talk about the way back.
The information about eventbuses will be translated soon, but I can tell you
that the bus will stop at center Tandådalen every day. It shouldn’t be to
long!"
which is all sounding encouraging.

Re: ORingen Accommodation
I queried the high cost (3500 SEK) of accomodation for 2 at Stöten and received the following response today
You seem to be missing an important piece of information. The original confirmation and invoice for Stöten was incorrect. The price should be 495 SEK/person. You should have received a second letter with new confirmation from Stöten with the new price and instructions for repayment if you had already paid.
By way of this mail, I ask Johan Thorn at Stöten to check that the information has been sent to you.

Re: ORingen Accommodation
So is everyone sorted now? Young Neville and the posse seem to have fallen on their feet ending up with a better, cheaper cabin close to lindvallen than I've got
I wish the o ringen web site was a bit perkier - i'm sure that by this close in previous years we've been fed almost daily juicy snippets about what has been laid on for our pleasure.
Who's on the Friday bus from Oslo then?

Re: ORingen Accommodation
Now got final confirmation of a cabin about 9km south of event centre, so have cancelled hostel at Stoten. Somehow we got offered both.
Our original invoice from Stoten was also incorrect. 4 beds books, invoiced correct value for 4 but only 2 offered.
Anyone know when start times become available ?
