According to Nopesport Urban League, Lincoln race is due in September, but according to LOG's website it's in January 2009. I guess it's not in September then

Can someone confirm or deny this - I actually changed the date of me and Mr H's 20th anniversary romantic few days away so we could go to Lincoln - he might not make his full quota of events without it and I was very much looking forward to it.

Maybe the Oban race at the Purple Thistle could It's going to be hard on people who were relying on another event to make up their numbers.

Aagh! Not the Purple Thistle please! Not that I have anything against the wee lads & lasses further up north (I bought them a couple of classy purple thistles last time from a shop in Braemar selling Skye terrier headed walking canes, American sporrans and serious looking swords to cut Scottish wedding cakes with!) but hubby may be just a tad upset if I take off to Oban to ensure an unbroken league run when we are booked into expensive cottage in North Yorkshire so he can be on hand to control the opposition Why is Lincoln no longer in September, and which Sheffield weekend?? I'm lost!

The junior leaders weren't threatened, despite Stuart running up on the Open course and Alice not running.

Among the elites, Jo didn't run, Blanka consolidated and Becky moved into the top five. Nick posted his fifth scoring run (and second successive win), to move ahead of Steve.

The veteran women are the keenest, with the top six all having completed five or more races. None of the top three improved, but Carol and Linda moved up. Martin looks unbeatable among the men's vets, as the chasing pack all need at least two first or second places to overhaul him.

The top three women's supervets all posted good scores; Sarah and Sheila are near-perfect but need more races. Jonathan continues to score well and Tony has attended every race (running up in Manchester), but Peter must be favourite if he completes one more race. Eddie Harwood has 293 points from 3 races and could still be a threat if he migrates south in November.

I've added an extra column on the far right of the tables, showing the maximum possible points for each competitor. The leaders on each course are shown below: at least five per course, but the lists continue far enough to include anyone with a chance of threatening the top top three.

It's all sewn up for Alice in the junior classes, but can she reach the magic 500?
