I would just like to echo Tessa's compliment to Nails on the quality of the map.
I wonder how many people you had to explain what you were up to whilst poking around their back yards?

actually suprisingly few. Though one time a old man (obviously with nothing better to do that watch out for burglars) came out of his house and demanded to see what notes I was taking. I just showed him and he didn't understand anything and then made some noises and comment about Youths and rucksacs and in the old days! I walked off did the next street along and came back later.
Oh and another actually -being approached by the council site security guard and then telling him I was making a map on behalf of the council. White lie as the council knew we were holding the event not that I was going to map the town hall private car park!

Yes - got to be the biggest blunder I've made in eons! Basically, coming out of 12 my plan was initially to go down the alley to the main road, then take second road on the right and attack from round the back to keep it simple (Hah!). 12 was a bit closer to the head of the alley than I expected, so came back out and went down that wider alley instead. Trouble was, at the end I forgot to check that off as the first junction, so carried on down 2 from there! I knew something was wrong pretty soon (those first steps were a giveaway!) but didn't work out what until got to my first 15 second stop. Then misread the end of the cul-de-sac as all light grey (which it most definitely wasn't).......
Those steps were agony!
