Saturday afternoon low-key event followed by a Western Night League on Saturday night, then a normal C4 or C3 on Sunday morning. No short courses like Simon's version either - for me at least it's Blue on Saturday, followed by an hour score and then Brown or Badge course on Sunday, with others I know possibly running shorter courses appropriate to their age. That's a grand total of about 25k. I'd never thought of trying to do another event on the Sunday - will have to check the fixture list next autumn for possibilities for 4 events in 24 hours!
Rich's suggestion sounds interesting, but you won't presumably even make the 4 O events within the 24 hour period. I'd be curious to know who has managed the most normal (ie separate events that aren't designed as part of a connected series) orienteering events in a day/24 hours, with Mathias's 3 in a day, and several candidates for 3 in 24 hours being the current benchmarks.
So as not to confuse people the NOC SL event is actually on the Sunday. It was provisionally on the saturday but changed so this is not possible on this occasion.
Its around a four hour drive from Huthwaite (nr Mansfield) to Dalbeattie so with an early start for the SL event (starts from 10:30 and would only take 30-40mins for the technical course) and a late in the Sprint Champs it would be possible.
