You only need 3 scores to get from the FCC final... what you can't get in 3 you wont get from 6.

Also I presume any JOK sprint competitors will not be able to take part in BOF training as that gives access to the forest in the morning. This would definitely not be fair as competitors don't have access to forests before other FCC/UK Cup races. I'm absolutely certain access to forest immediately prior to an event is definitely giving competitors an advantage over those who are unable to go to a rescheduled event.

Please can someone tell me I'm wrong or look into this. Thanks

The BOF Club Coaching day originally planned for 22nd April on Bishop Woods (!), will still go ahead. The final arrangements are still being worked out, but it expected that BOF Club Coaching will be possible in parallel with the JOK Prologue races in the morning and over lunchtime, before the forest is closed to be used exclusively for the JOK Chase races in the afternoon. Those clubs and individuals who have already booked places on the BOF Club Coaching day have already been contacted and will be updated with the final arrangements shortly.

So perhaps unless you have a late start time, there shouldn't be a problem. Anyhow, I presume most people will know the area in some way from the JK Relays there back in 2004...

I hope she doesn't mind me quoting from an email, but in an email I was copied on yesterday, Hilary Palmer said that no, you can't do both:

People will not be able to do both the coaching and the JOK event. They will have to choose.

I am sure those whom it affects will hear from the appropriate people (BOF coaching, JOK, or FCC coordinators) in due course.

3pm - just heard the Elite Competitions Groups are discussing qualification to the FCC final in the light of the JOK rescheduling.

Just drawing everyone attention to the announcement on the FCC forum and the BOF website which has just gone up regarding the scoring from the JOK.

Elite Competitions Group has decided that athletes who qualify for the FCC Final in the top 15 of their class following the JK will not be disadvantaged by not being able to attend the re-scheduled JOK Chasing Sprint race on April 22. If they are subsequently outside the top 15 they will still qualify to compete in the FCC Final.

Athletes are reminded that they are responsible for entering the FCC Final races. See the ECKO and FVO web sites for details.
