Don't panic!
It seems the hordes of people who want to attend the AGM without their membership cards WILL be allowed through the doors.
JK2014 details should be amended in v2.

Re: JK 2014
I renewed in early December and received the following email shortly afterwards.
Dear Robin,
Please find attached confirmation of your British Orienteering membership for 2014.
If any of the details are incorrect please contact the National Office or update them by logging into the British Orienteering website and clicking on 'My Account'. If you have forgotten any of your login details please use the forgotten login button on the homepage.
The membership card was in the attached pdf.

Mrs H wrote:I can absolutely confirm that I have not received an email with my 2014 membership card on it - I did however receive one last year for 2013 and a very nice Christmas card in December. I also received reminders for the 'children's' memberships which I duly forwarded to them to do with as they pleased.I pay by direct debit.
But definitely no cards for 2014! Has anyone else had theirs?
I also pay by direct debit, and received my membership card email on 20th December.

Perhaps it's time someone started a BOF AGM (plus related issues) thread and left this one for the JK, as intended ...

Re: JK 2014
Membership cards and the BOF AGM
Just to kill this issue off once and for all (?), it appears that the bit about bringing your membership card to the BOF AGM was copied from last year's Final Details and shouldn't be there.
It will be removed from the next (second) issue of the 2014 Event Programme due later this week.
Also, a final reminder that March 30th is the closing date for entries.

Re: JK 2014
Well, on the JK...it looks really good on paper, and with lots of people coming it should be a great event as usual. Particularly looking forward to Kris' sprint courses.
My only concern is the big walking distances to/from event arena each day - I'm lucky that with my small kids I get priority parking (thank you JK) but if you're not, then you could end up walking 15km just back and forth from parking to arena over the weekend (1.2k/up to 2.5k/up to 2.5k/2.0k each way per day).
I realise parking is one of the hardest things to obtain, but after having been spoilt by the Scottish last year (maximum distance about 200m on any day), especially if it rains it could be a fun one..
