As with all events in France, you will need a medical certificate that states that the doctor "certifie que XXXX ne présente, à ce jour, aucune contre indication médicale à la pratique de la course d'orientation en compétition".

Although, as graeme points out, some French events care more than others. Went to a great race round Montmartre on Saturday and asked where to hand in my certificate. They said "don't know, probably at the start" where predictably they had better things to do.
Now when I say "certificate" obtaining this didn't necessarily involve a visit to a doctor (or indeed much else than a computer and a printer).
Anyway bizarrely in France without a certificate you are still allowed to compete, you're just not allowed to get an official time and be in the results list!

Re: Urban Races 2014
I wonder if those nice people at BOF could give us a certificate saying we're medically fit enough to do orienteering races in the UK?
Coming soon

Not yet, it seems.
Less than a week till Edinburgh City Race, which doesn't mention NUL in its final details (but it is SOUL1).
Then again Edinburgh has been race 1 in NUL in 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009. Would it really be left out of the 2014 series..?

Are there any fixtures decided for SEOUL for this year yet?
I have heard that Ely City on 4 April is going to be included.

Don't see how they can include a race retrospectively - so they need to get the list out by Friday I reckon

This is a new map of the city centre, and I can honestly say I havent looked forward to running on a new map more since London. This is a SOUL event for 2014 but if it isnt also a NOPE event I'll eat my Queen of the South woolly hat!
So the woolly hat is safe! Who'd have thought Glasgow would be in the NUL and not Edinburgh?! Anyway hope everyone enjoyed today's Edinburgh event. My hypothermia has just about resolved. bto SOUL scores after 1 event now available here. http://www.oxfordfusion.com/NopeUL/index.cfm?&Org=3
Thanks to Roger and SIman as usual for their efforts with the results and scoring. Any issues or omissions please let me know. Remember the leagues run on BOF numbers so no BOF number=no league score.

Should you not ask BOF as it seems you need to be a BOF member to participate?
