Why black of course! Its an uncrossable barrier - the fact its a hedge is pretty incidental - its probably got a fence hidden in there somewhere too most of the time.
I have lots of problem with the black/green symbol - it causes no end of contention and blame on here. Probably the second most common area for accidental DQ after unexpectedly open gates. Bin it!
