Orienteering - great video

Any hints/tips/suggestions on how we promote our video would be most welcome. How can we get the maximum number of people to look at it or is this something which one can rarely control?

Excellent - just what we need. I actually saw the first cut of the Moray 2013 promo video today. I'll stick my neck out here and say it is actually pretty good but there is still a bit of work to do before approval/completion. The footage from the microlight is superb and I actually went round to see the pilot tonight in Inverness and downloaded his GPS track - they were so lucky the day they flew over. I hope we can get some of this extra footage up on the website as well. They happened to fly over Lossiemouth (sprint race venue) and Elgin (WOC embargoed area) to add to the nice pictures of trees, beaches and oh yes there was a dolphin in the Moray Firth.

Extreme downhill sprint orienteering anyone?

it's a fairly big step up in technology, equipment and budget to go from making a (pretty good) 4 minute youtube video to providing a high quality, reliable live feed from a forest to a big screen. (the key words being reliable - I've noticed that GoPro have developed a wireless live feed add on, but I wouldn't want to rely on this for seamless live footage for a whole days racing).

freefall - you might want to consider approaching professionals with a brief like that, simply because there is nothing worse than promising something only for it to not materialise on the day. if you hire professionals and have a contract, then (a) there is more chance of getting what you have paid for and (b) if the professionals don't deliver, your contract will cover you.

There is a great ap for the IPad that allows you to create films/trailers in no time at all. All the stuff is there!
