Any clothing regulations? Presume covered legs days 1 &2 and short sleeved tops OK? Optional whistles?

Re: Scottish Champs & Jubilee5
I'd have thought shorts would be allowed in Banchory perhaps and not for the Middle Race?
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Re: Scottish Champs & Jubilee5
clothing - full leg cover for forest events and shorts allowed for sprint - though courses may visit off road sections......
Whistles - recommended but not obligatory (same as the Deeside Night Cup advice!)

Sun is out and nice drying breeze - looks like tomorrow's race will be in perfect conditions.

Re: Scottish Champs & Jubilee5
Jon - any more info on the quarantine, especially for the women? We just got an email saying all E competitors must be in the quarantine zone by 4 but some of the women aren't running until nearly 6.30, seems like a long wait for them.
thankfully us (male) punters get to run just after 4 so not long to sit about in whatever weather we get!

More details about quarantine will be available on an info sheet (churning off my printer as I write this) which will be available at the information point over the weekend.

Re: Scottish Champs & Jubilee5
Waiting 2+ hours in some gym hall with all your competitors happens in nearly all international races. Really cool that maroc and gramp and all the others involved (Interlopers? and no doubt more) are going to so much effort to make the whole weekend top quality for everybody.

Surely a 2 hour compulsory bus ride to the start would be better?

That is more than a little annoying. I have no problem with bussing provided I am making an informed choice when entering. The Leith Hill arrangements kind of knock on the head plans to go to the event with friends who could go for a walk in the woods while I ran. The buses are full so they can sit in the car for 3 hours or go for a walk around Dorking / neither is a preferred option so I will probably end up giving the race a miss.

The bussing was very clearly mentioned up-front in the flyer for the event. If people decide not to read the available material about an event, then they have no grounds to complain.

or your friends drop you at the Dorking car park, drive up to a public car park round Leith Hill and walk from there. I've been making plans along those lines.
