Those areas are out-of-bounds on the printed maps, but are in-bounds on the GIFs that the organisers gave to World of O, so they could conceivably be last minute changes.

Scott had the fourth fastest time in his heat (see above), but there's still no official news on the disqualifications. The commentary went dead long before all this excitement kicked off - presumably in order to move from Aix-les-Bains to Chambéry.

If I were the organiser, I would have generated the GIF files ready to hand over to the media well in advance, and I can imagine that they may have overlooked updating them if there were late changes.

Just read back a couple of pages on the live blog. They're saying starts delayed due to four protests, I presume one is for Scott. Quarantine is supposed to be active now.

This is most definitely unsubstantiated gossip though.

OK, I see what you mean...although i find it hard to believe they hadn't sorted permissions.. On the World of O version the OOB area south of 34 appears to be runnable forest...

As I understand it the fainal isnot due to start until 2.00 our time. There are no start lists up yet.

Looking at the maps I cannot see anywhere that runners are being tricked into running out of bounds. It is hard to see where there was a problem.
