I just love all the lapped runners waiting for someone to decide where to go next

Re: Jukola/Venla
Why are they all standing round chatting and looking at their maps? Looks more like a poorly policed change over area than a control.

Re: Jukola/Venla
Lapped as in they're still on their first leg but the leaders have passed them on their second.
Duncan and Craney running together in a pack of about 10 just inside the top 50, shame I need to go to bed soon!

Scotland going well on leg 2 - Duncan has caught Matt Crane at 5.7k.

Nonorienteering husband just looked at the coverage and remarked he was glad this wasn't on British TV, he's not impressed with it as a spectator sport. I think it's great seeing how decisively the fast guys punch and run compared to the ones near the back. The route gadget is good too, it shows how much the small groups stick together though.

Halden teams in both first and second at the changeover, and Halden 1 still have Nordberg, Karlsson, Haldin, Wingstedt and Lundanes to come...

Re: Jukola/Venla
They keep moving the camera away when Scotland and SYO are due to appear. Was looking forward to seeing them at the changeover but they started doing routegadget again. Scotland are leading the Brits.

Roger appears to be having a bit of nightmare on second leg for JOK - currently has the slowest split to the first radio control by quite some way (down 600 places from the changeover). Hopefully not an injury - I wonder if there were changeover problems.

Douglas Tullie is continuing to move Scotland up the rankings. Hope JOK can keep going.

Not such good tele when the equivalent of Gary Linnekar et al are on. Amazing how they all go so quick. Skotlanti 50 doing OK in 536

Re: Jukola/Venla
So I'm guessing something went a bit wrong with the changeover.
