Can't seem to get the mass start option to work on TracTrac. Does it work for you guys? Am I doing sthg wrong?

I can't get the mass start feature working either. But you can select runners individually and give them a time offset, so to compare two or three with each other just work out how much offset their start times were, and put that in.

BJ is flying, but he nearly forgot to go to 6, and he just made a 180 degree error out of 12... maybe he should slow down a bit.

BJ got caught by Millinger 2 mins behind him, but Millinger takes the lead. Scott in 3rd place at the finish, but most of the guys still to finish are going faster. Possibly still a top 10 result...

Looked on the video like quite a few people were confused leaving 12, from the map the line to 13 is not too obvious as the final control gets in the way. I think BJ maybe set off from 12 along the line back towards number 1 as that line is much more obvious.

For the mixed relay then yes it is all four runners and all legs are the same length. Its is Men-Women-Men-Women. Gaffling needs to be well planned - if there is gaffling between the men's legs and the women's legs then there is an advantage to the teams where the men get the longer gaffles (usually anyway!).

Did anyone get to see the video stream? It was all in oriental script so I had no idea what channel to choose.

Seemed more like a long sprint than a middle to me (at least as the IOF try to define the event types). If that's the way orienteering wants to go to get into the Olympics the elite are welcome to it, but don't foist that sort of stuff onto the World Masters Games please.

gg: Having watched the broadcast, I'm pretty sure there wasn't a map exchange at #12.

TV+TracTrac+results made it worth waking up at 5.30 for, though like Eddie says the race was not much more than a long sprint. And it was a bit lazy of them to use so many of the same controls for both races.

It would be interesting to see some photos of the control sites in the woods - judging by the fact that late runners were still making errors there can't have been much in the way of elephant tracks.

I found the orienteering channel thanks, but all I get is error messages in eastern script The only recognisable word is OK

Also live tracking doesn't seem to be available for the relay. So it looks as though I have got up for nothing

Yes, same problem for me with the live TV. And now this morning I can't get TracTrac - they don't seem to be following leg 1...

... which is a pity as BJ is leading at radio 1

On the 3rd leg. Judging by the way the runners have run off in different directions I guess it's gaffled. Sweden and Russia have a 1-2 min gap. Britain within about 1 min of bronze. The Aussies are doing a great job so far of setting Hanny up for the final leg.
