Excellent event, well worth the trip over to Sheffield. I had my cleanest ever run in the first round finishing just 1 second behind Rob Baker, pitty it went very wrong after that! In my 3rd race I went round the butterfly the wrong way only realising after 3 wrong controls DOH! Despite that it was still one of the most fun events I have ran in. Many thanks to everyone involved with setting it up. As others have mentioned I hope we see more of this type of event around the UK, it really does bring the sport to the public.

I echo the comments of everyone else who attended the ultra sprint. What a great fun event. It took a good few controls to work out the scale of the map but once you got the hang of it, it was all over too quick. Lets hope more clubs take up the idea. Thanks to everyone involved in the organisation of an excellent event.

It was a really good, fun event. The most surprising aspect of the event was how (nearly) equal the event was for male and female. Clare Leventon was only 6 secs down on Rob Baker in the first round heat and she made it through to the B final.
It was great to see people from all corners of the UK, Hazel Wright from Scotland (did really well), the Finlay-Robinsons from Wales and someone from Laggan Valley (name escapes me at the mo, sorry). A fair few from LOG as well.
The only downsize was the barrier maze was a bit confined, it would have been better to have been stretch out to allow spectators to view from the sides.

"A fair few from LOG as well"
Only 2 of us in the end, the others bottled the challenge

Here's a few photos from the labyrinth part: http://www.flickr.com/photos/krocks/set ... 897169653/
I've a short video too, but might be a while before i get a chance to put that up somewhere.
Good fun alright, though
