Good luck to everyone. I am a little sad to miss it but will be in the Lakes doing epic training so if it looks like either ShUOC or OK Ravinen are going to win the elite we'll definitely come along and cheer you in (if we are off the hills ourselves!)
see ShUOC and OK Ravinen are amongst the hot tips..

Well done Lizzie Bee and dad looked like you had a good run. Couldn't find Alex on the results but there were so many and I was pretty tired last night.

After suffering from horrendous cramp after 4 hours on day 1 (possibly the single worst pain I have ever experienced) we were 25th overnight, but had a great sprint mountain marathon on day 2 to reach our top 20 aim. Lovely stuff.
Matt and Rhys were 11th which is pretty darn good.

Crackin weekend! Day one was a hard mother! There were loads of teams finishing in the dark. Pretty pleased to have pulled up places on day 2. Views and climbs on day 1 were sweet, day 2 thankfully onto bad weather courses, and was a bit easier. Really enjoyed the weekend, not sure if Dad did though!

Oh and it is definitely the OMM next year, they spent a disproportionate amount of time announcing that at the finish, sadly I already can't wait to get back to it! But being able to walk in a sensible manner would be a bonus right now

Oops! Great courses tho, the score was really well planned, made a bit of a mess of day1 by gettin dehydrated in 4th hour but pulled it back quite a lot day2! woo 60quid of vouchers to spend now!

KIMM
Just because I can't walk properly more than 24 hours after the finish, (I wish this house didn't have so many stairs!!!), doesn't mean I didn't enjoy this years KIMM. There is a certain perverse satisfaction in finishing such a tough race. There were classic Lake District mountains one day 1, two classic orienteering areas on day 2 (the Swindales)and some classic KIMM weather. My only disappointment was getting cuffed by the Commbas on day 1. Just wait till next year!!!
