Crewe flats was a genuinely nice place to be. The building itself has a bit of history to it (i.e. the bedroom walls were not made of breeze blocks), and the gardens were substantial and well kept. Near Eccleshall Rd, near Broomhill, near every othr student accomodation. I've been in the flats next to the engineering block and would not reccommend them. Full of foreign (far east) students - nice people, but may not share the british student's view of an active social life / good night out etc.

Riverdale flats really aren't all bad they're much more social than some flats I know. And they're way cheaper
Woodvale you can ask Rob about G but he'l probably agree with me that the washing machines are jobby. Not as social as some places or that could just be me.
Crewe I haven't really been to..
Endcliffe Vale are oh so posh flats and most peoples first choice (including mine). Spacious and all done up but really no different to any other flats situated around there. Al lot of the flats are all the same it just depends who you're put with.
It seems quite random where they put you as Woodvale wasn't on my list of preferences and I was put with a bunch of people who had literally nothing in common with me despite all the hobbies, smoker/non smoker forms. But I would say any of the self catering flats are good, it just depends where they put you.

try going down the early learning center shop in town Rhys. The bags of plastic coins that you could buy in there worked in the washing machines at woodvale when I lived there.

Was at Crewe too, like housewife, and i would say if you were unlucky you might end up in the 10-15 rooms which are the same size as all the other student room (apperently used to be the servants quarters, well that was the rumour) otherwise you get nice big rooms. It is a big self catering accomadation, so you will meet lots of people (250 are at Crewe). Which can be the one of the downsides of living in some of the small uni houses and other flats.

Thanks for all the help. I think I have decided to pick Tapton. Was going to go for stevenson sounds all a bit to posh for me plus tapton is cheaper by £300 more money for beer!
Tapton also seems to be closest to the Geography department (my choosen subject) on the relatively useless map in the accom booklet.
