Re: World Champs
I think lots of the national teams have been in Italy for a little while. For sure, Harry had an excellent podium place (2nd if I recall correctly) here at a WRE last week. Some Finns, Hungarian, Kiwi's, Aussies and, Lithuanians have all been prominent in the results for a couple of weeks.

SVT has always worked in the UK before. And they have an SVT Play app so you can watch it on your phone/tablet, while 'working'

Get a grip, Gross, get into gripples, gripping yarns are in vogue

Don't push your luck or you'll get a limerick about them

Was he not Interløpers?
And to answer someone else's question, the Sprint team all arrived yesterday and had a great day training in Treviso and Venice today, the rest of the team officially fly out on Saturday although a number of them have been on an unofficial training camp out here for over a week already.
Sprint on Saturday. Qual starts 8AM BST for girls with Ruth & Tess running & 9AM for boys with Scott, Kris and I representing GBR. All going well (I'm hoping to not run off the map this year - given we're on an island I'm reasonably confident about achieving this) the final is at 14:20 (W) / 15:25 (M) and will be finished before the footie starts.
Sprint relay 16:30 on Monday and some other races later in the week.

I knew someone would spot that - he was an SYO junior though. I reckon Craney was still Walton Chasers / SHUOC then as well. Worth a try

Looking forwards to Saturday - will be doubling up on Le Tour and WOC!

Re: World Champs
AROS probably wins as we had the entire Swiss Squad running as AROS at the JK in mid 1990's

Thought it was about running in the WOC not the JK!

Re: World Champs
Spent a bit of time talking to people in and around the team this year and I've been mightily impressed with the professional approach, and the effort they've put in to preparing for these championships. Hundreds of hours of map geeking and travelling to suitable terrain on top of all physical and technical training.
Good luck

Re: SYO members at WOC 2003 / I didnt change from FVO to SYO till start of 2007.
Matt Crane was running for ShUOC (Harvester) and JK (WCH) in 2003 as suggested.
Dan 'the man' Marston was an INT man but a rare sight in the UK in those days (even rarer now!) being based in Oslo.
However OK Ravinen have two runners at WOC who should bring home a medal or two, each. Yannick Michiels BEL Sprinter and Gustav Bergman Middle and Relay. As well as Ruslan Glebov UKR Sprint and probably Sprint Relay, Blažo Maksimović SRB ....
I am guessing SNO and OK Linne, Kalevan Rasti, Halden, KOK, etc. will boast the largest club members present...
In 1978, WOC was planned by a Junior (Just long and ungaffled (?) relay back then.) I wonder however what the average age the Italian planners are, and indeed, the British ones will be in 2015... Maybe Mad Mike and Freefall can tell us!?
