BOF may be annoying at times and may do some ridiculous things but I don't see any of you volunteering to work at National Office to make things better.

There's actually a number of people here who have done exactly that; maybe not currently (but am prepared to be corrected), but certainly historically.

It's been said before, but I think the ability for a member to see all their ranking scores would be intersting. Olli plugged this gap wonderfully, until the weekly retrospective recalculation of all previous points scuppered his efforts.

You may be interested to hear of this little known invention called the spreadsheet. You can put a number in, say after an orienteering event (even adding some words to tell you what it is) and save it, come back later and it's there ready to look at and compare against your new number, say after another orienteering event.
Now given we're all after value for money, that's got to be £0 well spent.

I think we answered this thread. We've got a super BOF levy at BOC (and JK). Plus don't forget the regions and clubs may take a chunk to spend on junior squads, development etc.

We could split the thread again to have one "should we have more/less paid staff and more/less volunteers at BO".

There's no excuse to be grumpy about the fees now unless you're in the BOF should have less paid staff camp. You're money is going to a good cause. It isn't a massive amount, and compared to last year you might make a saving on some of the other things your money will be needed for over the weekend (according to the following source of reliable information... )
