Well done to everyone, the times all look very close.
Probably everyone else knows the qualification rules, but I had to check in Bulletin 4

The competitors placed number 20 and better in each qualification heat may run in the A-final. The remaining competitors may run in the B-final. Competitors who start, but are not placed, in the qualification race may start in the B-final before placed runners, but shall appear in the result list as not placed.

Very exciting - and thanks Siman - I didn't want to show my ignorance by asking who was through - in answer to an earlier debate - this near instantaneous results is what will make the elite end of the sport far more interesting to the ordinary orienteer -I look forward to be kept posted throughout the week

the aussie who won her heat, Hanny Allston, is going to be running for the senior team at WOC and the world cup in Denmark.
Another aussie to look out for at JWOC is Julian Dent, declined to run at WOC this year. At the aussie easter race he beat Stewart Fish on a few occasions and was up there with Fish and the top blokes, on the other races.
ohhh arrhh GBR. i know they can do it........

looks like Scotia's interval session paid off as he got in by a mere 3 seconds - and that was in front of a Japanese, probably preventing them from their first ever appearance in the A-final?
