You can take it a step further by having some lego teknik onboard that winds the camera cradle along the zip-line using a secondary line, meaning that they can control the shot rather than relying purely on gravity.

I'm not sure if this is what the Kongsberg boys did for their Pinseløpet film last year, can't remember, I spoke with Morten (ex-EUOC), the guy in the film, about it.

I bow to your superior knowledge about orienteering videos and accept Forest Jump was only the first freerunning orienteering video to be made in Roseisle and not globally. Thank you for the Go Pro link - I will forward it on to Wildbird (see http://www.spanglefish.com/wildbird/) who are working on our current Moray 2013 promotion (with support from EventScotland). Any hints/tips/suggestions on how we promote our video would be most welcome. How can we get the maximum number of people to look at it or is this something which one can rarely control?

Social media. The K&S FilmCrew films have reached over 2000 people in 2 days, and links are circulating on Facebook, Twitter, various O websites and forums. If it's good enough, it gets spread.

You've still not taken back your statement that KS "copied much of what Johnstone and Harry did in Roseisle"

That is the statement I was protesting, not the 'originality' or excellence of either videos. But you northerners seem to have though I was attacking Forest Jump, when in fact I was attacking Freefall's slanderous comment.

Well it would definitely be libel not slander (which is a transitory form of defamation - think S for Spoken) but Defamation of character is a very hard thing to prove and the onus of proof is on the claimant.
They must prove three things
1 the comment was untrue
2 the comment was publicly made
3 their reputation (business, standing in society etc) was materially harmed by the comment in the eyes of the public.

While the first two might have been so in this case I very much doubt the third applies - infact as a result of subsequent comments I'd say their reputations had been enhanced.

Hey Guys

First a lot of thanks for the positive feedback. Now to the video "Forest Jump": We haven't seen this video before. Furthermore, our filming began in January this year. Then, this video was gradually suplemented with additional scenes, which we have produced in training camps. By the end of July, our video was finished. However we could puplish it just now, because it was a gift that we could handing over at first on the last weekend. I enjoyed the video andnever intended to suggest you had actually copied ideas - coincidence that you and the Forest Jump team came up with two really good and interesting videos with the same basic concept. If you saw some of the earlier threads you will see I am trying to find a crew to do live capture to big screen at Moray 2013. Is this something you would consider/have an interest in/have a capability? If you send me a private message I will get back to you with details of what we are looking for.
