There have been 19 athletes DSQed at WOC so far for being over time, the vast majority from "non-traditional" orienteering countries: 9 in the Long qualifiers (2 Hong Kong, 2 Serbia, 1 Netherlands, 1 South Korea, 1 Macedonia, 1 Japan, 1 China) and 10 in the Middle (3 Macedonia, 2 Hong Kong, 2 South Korea, 1 Taiwan, 1 Uruguay, 1 Serbia).
